About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking customer service-oriented individuals to join their team as Assistant Shop Managers. This role offers paid training and opportunities for rapid advancement, with over 90% of Shop Managers promoted internally. The company emphasizes a positive work environment and provides comprehensive training for all necessary automotive services and shop management. Ideal candidates are energetic, willing to learn, and possess a positive attitude, regardless of prior experience in the automotive industry. Previous experience in roles such as servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, or landscapers is valued but not required.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot deep pit to position safely under cars.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc., for extended periods.
Ability to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions.
Reliable transportation to and from the shop.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the automotive industry is valued but not required.
Experience in customer service roles is valued.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service and process payments for services.
Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in their absence.
Manage the shop floor, ensuring employees are in their assigned positions, all vehicle services are completed correctly, and customers are satisfied.
Perform opening and closing procedures for the shop.
Assist with inventory counts and adjustments.
Train new employees on Take 5 procedures.
Perform automotive services including draining motor oil, changing oil filters, and other light maintenance.
Restock and maintain inventory levels.
Maintain cleanliness of the shop, office, and bathrooms.
