Requirements

  • Three years of technical experience in well design, drilling, completion, production, plugging, or underground storage operations in the oil or natural gas industry; or An associate's degree in Petroleum Technology or closely related field, and one year of technical experience in well design, drilling, completion, production, plugging, or underground storage operations in the oil or natural gas industry.
  • Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of wells and related facilities using Department equipment
  • Investigate citizen concerns and document findings in reports and databases
  • Issue violation notices and assist with enforcement measures when regulations are not met
  • Evaluate well records, reports, and technical documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Gather and preserve gas samples for investigations following proper protocols
  • Compile evidence, photographs, and documentation for legal and administrative actions
