Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing welding.
  • Candidate must have welding certification with CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) or (documented equivalent) in MIG and other welding disciplines.
  • Aluminum welding experience is required; steel welding experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge in the accurate use of measuring instruments is required.
  • Familiarity with all materials used within the department.
  • Candidate must have the ability to verbally communicate, read and write fluently in English.
  • Must have the ability to follow factory work orders, as well as understand and interpret product drawings and schematics for welding and assembly.
  • Must be able to perform assembly and material handling tasks, including lifting to 50lbs.
  • Must be a team player.

Nice To Haves

  • steel welding experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Procedures and Welding Manual.
  • Safe operation of overhead cranes and lift trucks.
  • Set-up and operation of equipment in a safe and competent manner.
  • Maintain a tight manufacturing schedule and strict quality controls.
  • Be responsible for daily general maintenance of equipment and manufacturing areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
