About The Position

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) is seeking an experienced regulated health professional for the role of OHP Clinical Liaison within its Out-of-Hospital Premises Inspection Program (OHPIP). The OHPIP oversees non-hospital health facilities that provide anesthesia and/or sedation services not covered by hospital oversight. The OHP Clinical Liaison will be responsible for key accreditation activities, including managing adverse event reports, coordinating inspections, and supporting OHP Medical Directors to ensure compliance with CPSO OHPIP standards and program requirements. Duties may change based on operational needs.

Requirements

University degree in nursing or a healthcare-related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of surgical/OR/PACU experience.
Demonstrated experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance within a healthcare environment.
Current and unrestricted certificate in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, or equivalent regulatory body.
Knowledge of surgical instrument reprocessing and sterilization standards.
Familiarity with relevant ORNAC, Public Health Ontario, CSA, and CAS guidelines.
Knowledge of the Regulated Health Professions Act, Medicine Act, and associated regulations.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare professional reports and regulatory correspondence.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in interprofessional environments.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and interviewing skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Self-directed, with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing operational needs, and communicate complex information clearly using plain language.
Must reside in Ontario and be able to attend the College office as required.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses) is required.

Nice To Haves

Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control, PANC(C), CPN(C), or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Executing key accreditation activities for the Out-of-Hospital Premises Inspection Program (OHPIP).
Serving as the primary contact for managing adverse event reports.
Coordinating OHP inspections.
Supporting OHP Medical Directors to ensure all CPSO OHPIP standards and program requirements are met.
