About The Position
The OHE Laborer/Groundman supports the Construction team in a field environment. The role prepares and cleans construction sites, removes debris and potential hazards, loads and unloads building materials, operates equipment and machines, and assists craft workers with their duties. The position also helps identify utilities and monitors digging to prevent utility strikes, assists with manual digging, maintains equipment, restocks trucks, and performs seeding and strawing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience.
- CDL Class A driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare construction sites for work by removing debris and possible hazards.
- Assist tradesmen so they can complete skilled tasks more effectively.
- Identify utilities and watch the dig crew to help prevent utility hits.
- Assist with manual digging.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Restock trucks with the tools and supplies crews need to complete jobs.
- Seed and straw.
