Responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing, and operating corrosion control equipment for crude oil pipelines. Conducts surveys and tests, gathers data and prepares reports to maintain the integrity of the pipeline system. Maintains the required documentation for regulatory compliance. Works with corrosion engineers to assure the pipeline system is operating at the required standards. Responsible for meeting the performance training requirements as set by the Company and local/federal agencies. Supervise outside contractors performing work on the pipeline system. Promptly reports any suspected or potential problem areas to local Pipeline Manager. Maintains a knowledge and awareness of local, state and federal regulations and advises management of any impact. Successfully complete OQ (Operator Qualifications) training on the tasks performed. Participates in and promotes the Company’s safety program to coworkers.
