About The Position

Responsible for a variety of tasks involved in troubleshooting, testing, maintaining, installing, repairing, and operating corrosion control equipment for crude oil pipelines. Conducts surveys and tests, gathers data and prepares reports to maintain the integrity of the pipeline system. Maintains the required documentation for regulatory compliance. Works with corrosion engineers to assure the pipeline system is operating at the required standards. Responsible for meeting the performance training requirements as set by the Company and local/federal agencies. Supervise outside contractors performing work on the pipeline system. Promptly reports any suspected or potential problem areas to local Pipeline Manager. Maintains a knowledge and awareness of local, state and federal regulations and advises management of any impact. Successfully complete OQ (Operator Qualifications) training on the tasks performed. Participates in and promotes the Company’s safety program to coworkers.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
3 years’ experience in cathodic protection
NACE certification
CP-1 Cathodic Protection Tester
Self-starter, responsible and able to work with very limited supervision
Familiar with all local, state and federal regulations
Proficient with Microsoft suite products, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Capable of supervising outside contractors
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Adherence to applicable D.O.T. regulations
Considered a Safety Sensitive position
Subject to pre-employment and random Drug and Alcohol testing
