About The Position

Acuren is currently recruiting for an Offshore Mechanical Integrity Technician. This position is open to candidates residing in Lafayette, Broussard, LA, and the surrounding communities. The role involves setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods, establishing techniques for proper examination of objects, applying testing criteria, and interpreting results from various NDT methods. The technician will also perform specialized inspections, organize and report test results, and may instruct and supervise others. Other job-related tasks may be assigned by management.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
TWIC Card Required
RT/UTT Certifications Required
Certified Level II
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Knowledge of NDT equipment
Experience in report writing

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
