Offset Press Operator
About The Position
Set up and operate sheetfed offset printing presses. Review job tickets to ensure all specifications are met (paper stock, ink, coatings, etc.). Monitor press runs for color accuracy, registration, and overall print quality. Adjust ink levels, water balance, and press settings as needed. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical or print quality issues during production. Maintain accurate production records and logs. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Coordinate with prepress and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow.
Requirements
- 2+ years of offset press experience preferred
- Knowledge of printing processes, inks, substrates, and color management
- Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production schedules
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
