About The Position

Responsible for enforcing security policies, providing assistance and direction, and following up on security services with tact, diplomacy, and concern for customers and staff. Accountable for service excellence for internal and external customers and staff. Patrols and maintains order and safe working conditions throughout assigned buildings and grounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to reason and make decisions independently without direct supervision under a variety of conditions.
Maintain a visually attractive appearance in personal hygiene and uniform.
Take initiative to assist visitors, patients, and others with genuine interest in their needs.
Present a positive attitude when performing assignments and providing assistance.
Use a considerate and comforting tone when assisting distraught customers, visitors, and patients.
Remain calm and in control during verbal and physical threats from customers and others.
Present a professional and helpful attitude while on the telephone.
Valid Florida or Georgia driver's license with a clean record, or violations not exceeding the maximum points allowed by hospital policy.
1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Nice To Haves

AA/AS degree or college courses in criminal justice, law enforcement, or a related field.
Three to five years of security experience in a hospital environment.
