Requirements

  • Able to make decisions independently and think on your feet while adhering to IMDC policies and procedures.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Ability to multitask across several different systems for managing ticket queues.
  • Attention to detail: ability to understand and follow documented processes and Iron Mountain’s safety code.
  • Organization and prioritization skills: ability to follow processes and manage time with minimal supervision.
  • Dedication and desire to learn.
  • Customer service mentality.
  • The ability to obtain security clearance via government or other agency background check may be required for customer support.

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years experience in a security, customer service, or data center environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent unauthorized individuals/vehicles from entering the facility/restricted areas using security technology.
  • Monitor safety, security, and fire alarm systems, as well as onsite CCTV, and respond as needed.
  • Conduct required visual inspections of key assets and locations within the facility through roving foot and vehicle patrols, both inside and outside, throughout the year and in all weather conditions.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by providing clear and concise information to customers, employees, and visitors to educate, inform, and ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations, especially entry and exit procedures.
  • Support the emergency plan in the event of an emergency, including providing clear direction to all occupants during safety or security-related situations (e.g., fire or emergency evacuation).
  • Appropriately document any significant security and safety incidents.
  • Quickly and effectively assess and de-escalate situations that may present a threat to the safety or security of anyone within the facility.
