This Office Specialist I position will be a limited time position for up to 2 years. The Office Specialist I performs the following key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities: Assists clients with disabilities (physical, developmental, psychological and substance abuse). Exercises independent judgement in office specialties. Performs complex production tasks requiring specialized office skills plus has comprehensive knowledge of pertinent rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Serves as the focal point for advanced agency-specific assignments. Processes a variety of agency documents by reviewing for accuracy and completeness. Updates information, evaluating against policy, comparing elements for consistency or logical relationship and otherwise taking action here such procedures may require independent judgement. Applies agency regulations, polices and procedures. Originates correspondence, documentation and other written communication. Provides the public and others with information and assistance in completing forms and applications. Locates and assembles records and information which may be complex or difficult to identify and which may require substantial research, judgement and subject matter understanding. Prepares and generates recurring reports involving automated processes and thorough subject matter understanding. Performs basic accounting functions such as basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable. Maintains calendars, schedules and coordinates meetings, trainings, facilities and other activities. Assists in the training of vendors and new employees; ensuring an adequate supply of materials.
