About The Position

St. Louis County's Department of Revenue is seeking an Office Services Specialist to join their Recorder of Deeds team. This position will perform complex office duties in support of a defined technical function requiring the application of in-depth knowledge of state and local statutes, ordinances, and codes. The ideal candidate will be able to make decisions without close review by a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to three years or more of professional work experience in a general office environment.
  • Must remain current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to messages in the public-facing email inbox in a timely, professional manner
  • Monitor customer service tickets and communicate with appropriate staff to ensure timely resolution of tickets
  • Verify, update, and process information and documents based on technical knowledge of relevant policies statutes, ordinances and codes
  • Interact with the general public and County Departmental contacts under adverse conditions as necessary
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to employees and the general public
  • Prepare reports, summaries and documentation for use at meetings and for processing paperwork
  • Process and maintain written and computerized records
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
