Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • One year of experience performing clerical duties.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours of education at an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience.
  • Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administrative classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months of experience with Google Suite products.
  • Six months of experience with Microsoft Word.
  • Six months of experience in a fast-paced, evolving office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Register applications to determine applicable categories of assistance by reviewing, verifying and interpreting information in case records, applications and other documents, utilizing knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
  • Complete mail duties.
  • Perform administrative support tasks through the utilization of program guidelines and automated systems.
  • Work the front desk to greet customers, accept paperwork, log all visitors, and assign interviews.
  • Research on all automated systems to determine decisions made on a case, to interpret decisions and relay to customer or general public.
  • Assemble and verify data and compile information in order to prepare routine statistical reports.
  • Greet and log in all customers and visitors on the Visitor Log (Google Sheet) to assess reason for visit.
  • Notify individuals for visitor meetings.
  • Pick-up mail from the upstairs mailbox area, run through the postage machine, and place in postal container at the guard desk for pick up.
  • Answer Family Investment Administration phones for the agency.
