Office Rad Tech -DI General Radiology - FT DAYS
About The Position
The Office Rad Tech position involves performing all routine diagnostic procedures, including abdominal, chest, spine, extremity, and head scans. The role requires maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients under stress, and exchanging information with nursing personnel and physicians. Key responsibilities include transferring and properly positioning patients for examinations to achieve desired radiographic results according to physician specifications, providing immobilization and protection in line with safety standards, and being proficient in using CR readers and digitizing prior films into PAC’s. The individual must be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with physicians and coworkers, providing service to patients of all age groups.
Requirements
- Capable of all routine diagnostic procedures including Abdominal, Chest, Spine, Extremity and Head.
- Current Oregon RT.
- Current Oregon License.
- ARRT registered.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical or emotional stress and gather and exchange patient information with nursing personnel and physicians.
- Transfers and properly positions patients for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications.
- Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Trained in using CR readers and capable of digitizing prior films into PAC’s.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
