The Office of Economic Empowerment (OEE) is a department within the Office of the Treasurer and Receiver General of Massachusetts tasked with providing free and accessible financial education and supporting wealth-building pathways for residents across the state. We deliver programs that support residents’ financial wellbeing, help them make informed decisions about their money, and help families save for their children’s future education. OEE is looking for a Digital Accessibility Intern to join its communications team to help the department meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards across its digital channels. The Digital Accessibility Intern will help OEE assess and remediate existing public-facing content and help build tools and trainings to support the team's ongoing accessibility efforts. This is a hands-on role for someone interested in accessibility, public interest technology, communications, and user experience (UX). Our IT department handles technical, platform-level accessibility. This role is focused on content: documents, graphics, presentations, web copy, social media, and video assets.
