About The Position

This position consists of all aspects of cleaning and disinfecting the main plant and Flitchwood plant. The Office/Mill Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role requires the ability to use various cleaning tools and chemicals safely and effectively, and to prioritize tasks independently. The position also involves maintaining inventory, assisting with seasonal lawn care, and potentially other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Ability to read, write and use basic and advanced arithmetic.
Knowledgeable of various hand and electric tools to complete cleaning procedures.
Experience and ability to operate mobile equipment.
Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating/work order instructions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to communicate with others at all levels in both oral and written methods.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Effectively communicate with coworkers and perform job in a safe manner.

Nice To Haves

Additional technical and boiler schooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

Push/pull cleaning cart.
Use handheld cleaning tools and electric cleaning equipment.
Safely and properly use various cleaning chemicals.
Disinfect high touch surfaces in main areas of both plants.
Clean/disinfect lunchroom, bathrooms, offices, punch clocks, main doors, and railings.
Water plants outside during seasonal times.
Maintain first aid kits and safety glass cleaning stations.
Maintain cleaning supply inventory and communicate needs.
Assist with seasonal lawn care using weed eater and riding lawnmower.
Follow 5S/Continuous Improvement and quality initiatives with understanding basic production needs and initiatives.
