About The Position

VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Office Manager to support one of the largest specialty, emergency, and general practice veterinary hospitals in New England. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines human resources, payroll, operations, client service, onboarding, and administrative management. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys supporting teams, improving processes, and creating an exceptional workplace culture.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of office management experience with payroll and human resources responsibilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Experience managing confidential information with professionalism and integrity
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
Customer service or service-industry management experience

Nice To Haves

Veterinary experience preferred, but not required
College education preferred

Responsibilities

Manage payroll processing and timekeeping systems
Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new associates
Support employee relations, communication, and policy administration
Track PTO requests and maintain personnel records
Assist with workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and injury reporting
Coordinate meetings, events, food orders, and employee recognition activities
Manage security badge systems, phone systems, and other administrative technologies
Support hospital leadership with reporting, projects, and operational initiatives
Resolve non-medical client concerns and promote exceptional service
Help foster a positive, collaborative, and professional workplace culture
