About The Position

TUTCO-Farnam Custom Products is an industry-leading custom electric heating element manufacturer specializing in air heaters and flexible surface heaters and is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team in Arden, NC. TUTCO-Farnam Custom Products is Subsidiary of Smiths Group with Headquarters in London, England. Position will be responsible for handling administrative support functions for all departments with the organization and HR related issues and tasks.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in related field
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software and capable of learning other software packages as required.
  • Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must be self-starter, upbeat and motivated with an excellent work ethic.
  • Must possess the ability to learn quickly and effectively in a highly technical, ever changing, competitive business.
  • Excellent attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors, answer and direct incoming calls.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.
  • Manage weekly and monthly data entry.
  • Maintain online and hardcopy files for personnel and other reporting.
  • Communicate all Safety, Health and Environmental Information
  • Report monthly Safety and Environmental data into the Prism Matrix.
  • Assist in scheduling pre-employment appointments, new hire orientation, reporting, and other company training.
  • Ensure all paperwork is complete and ready for processing. (Insurance, 401K, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining training records and working with other departments to ensure training is up-to-date for all employees.
  • Assist in all recognition and engagement activities.
  • Maintain all communication boards.
  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  • Support other departments, such as production and customer service, with assistance in general data entry and other clerical functions.
