About The Position

FMI is a leading consulting and investment banking firm dedicated to serving companies within the built environment. They are seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Office Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their Raleigh headquarters. This individual will serve as the face of the office, creating a professional, welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors, while ensuring smooth and efficient office operations. This role offers an opportunity to play a key part in shaping the daily employee experience in a growing, collaborative office, with visibility across teams and the ability to make a tangible impact on office culture and operations. It is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing administrative coordination, facilities oversight, and employee support in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity based in FMI's downtown Raleigh headquarters. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in office administration, hospitality, or a related role
  • High school diploma required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems
  • Ability to proactively identify and address office needs
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support team and office initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Experience in a professional services environment preferred
  • Experience supporting office operations or facilities coordination preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the face of the office by welcoming guests, vendors, and employees while managing front desk communications and incoming calls
  • Oversee daily office operations, including mail, packages, deliveries, and shipping coordination
  • Maintain a high-quality office environment through regular walkthroughs, supply management, and coordination of cleaning and maintenance services
  • Submit, track, and follow up on facility maintenance requests; act as liaison with building management
  • Manage vendor relationships, including performance oversight, contract coordination, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling, meeting setup, catering, and day-of logistics
  • Plan and execute office events and employee gatherings, while supporting larger firmwide events
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including workspace setup, office tours, access management, and parking coordination
  • Assist with office budgeting, expense tracking, invoice processing, and financial coordination for office-related activities
  • Provide general administrative support, internal communications, and assist with office space planning and logistics as the team grows
