The Imaging Center Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and performance of the imaging center. This role ensures high-quality patient care, efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and financial performance while leading clinical and administrative staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, radiologic sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in medical imaging operations or healthcare management
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and performance metrics
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the imaging center, ensuring efficient workflow and patient throughput
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate imaging technologists, administrative staff, and support personnel
  • Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal resource utilization
  • Foster a patient-centered culture focused on service excellence and safety
  • Ensure imaging services are delivered in compliance with clinical protocols, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Monitor image quality, repeat rates, and patient satisfaction metrics
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and best practices
  • Collaborate with radiologists and clinical partners to support diagnostic accuracy and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., accreditation standards, radiation safety, HIPAA)
  • Maintain readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation reviews
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, QA programs, and vendor compliance
  • Manage departmental budgets, expenses, and revenue performance
  • Monitor productivity, volumes, and key performance indicators
  • Participate in strategic planning, service line growth, and new modality implementation
  • Assist with contract management and vendor negotiations
  • Address patient concerns and service recovery issues promptly and professionally
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians and healthcare partners
  • Support marketing and outreach efforts to grow referral volume
