About The Position

We are searching for a talented and skilled office manager who has proven experience with grain office duties. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail. This role reports directly to the location manager and is responsible for scaling/grading all inbound/outbound grain trucks, assisting with grading samples during rail operations, and assisting with rail operations when necessary. The position also involves working with main office administrators to process work, maintaining a clean and professional office space, and offering flexibility to work with other locations and departments as needed. Effective communication with customers, team members, and the grain superintendent is crucial, as is promoting a safe work culture through leadership and personal actions. The role requires adherence to all safety policies, knowledge of the location emergency action plan, and understanding of locational goals. Emotional intelligence, self-awareness, teamwork, active listening, and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback are essential. Participation in team-building activities is also expected. The individual will be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and professional facility at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • 2 years or more of relevant experience or ability to learn
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills
  • Able to work seasonal hours that require overtime and weekends to accomplish work goals indoors and outdoors
  • Able to move/lift 25 lbs
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to operate basic computer software and able to learn new company specific computer programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Scaling / grading all inbound/outbound grain trucks
  • Assist with grading samples during rail operations
  • Assist with rail operations when necessary
  • Work with main office administrators to help process work
  • Maintain clean and professional office space
  • Flexibility to work with other locations and departments as needed
  • Clearly and concisely convey information with customers, other team members, grain superintendent, and report to location manager in a positive manner
  • Promote a safe work culture through leadership and personal actions
  • Follow all safety policies and take accountabilities for all co-workers doing the same
  • Know the location emergency action plan and location of worker protection standards information
  • Understand locational goals and take it upon yourself to achieve or exceed these goals
  • Exhibits emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and teamwork skills with others through collaboration
  • Listening at appropriate times and allows for constructive feedback from others
  • Shows and receives earned respect from others
  • Participates in team building activities, on and off the work site
