About The Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Office Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the successful delivery of complex rail and transit infrastructure projects by coordinating project documentation, tracking project controls, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and ensuring timely execution of construction administration processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in field construction is required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Experience with document management systems and project controls processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting rail and transit, transportation, or heavy civil infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction management principles, project controls, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Bluebeam, or similar project management software.
  • Experience preparing executive-level reports and project dashboards.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and contract correspondence.
  • Track project schedules, action items, deliverables, and milestone commitments to support overall project execution.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Maintain project logs, including submittal, RFI, change order, and contractor payment tracking logs.
  • Support construction administration activities by coordinating reviews and ensuring timely resolution of project issues.
  • Interface with clients, contractors, designers, and internal project teams to facilitate communication and workflow.
  • Assist with document control, record management, and compliance with project procedures and quality requirements.
  • Support project meetings by preparing agendas, documenting discussions, and tracking action items through completion.
  • Coordinate commissioning documentation, turnover packages, and project closeout activities as required.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
