About The Position

Holder Construction is seeking an Office Engineer to join its Preconstruction team in regional offices across the United States. This is a full-time, in-person position. The role involves analyzing construction documents, preparing cost estimates, coordinating design and trade activities, and supporting project purchasing. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills, and a “team first” mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Nice To Haves

Internship or prior experience in a construction or engineering environment.
Knowledge of cost control, budgeting, and scheduling principles.

Responsibilities

Analyze and understand construction design documents and specifications.
Prepare accurate construction cost estimates and quantity surveys across various scopes of work.
Manage cost and design issues to optimize project outcomes.
Coordinate trades and gain exposure to Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Oversee project purchasing, including scope coordination, proposal evaluation, trade negotiations, and contracting.
