About The Position

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Role Purpose Coordinate office operations, check requests, petty cash, report generation and day-to-day office responsibilities, including Social Services. Develops and implements processes to ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • <2 years experience
  • No Supervisor Experience
  • Must be able to multitask and work in high-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Checking-in and checking-out patients
  • Scheduling patients
  • Obtaining, tracking and scheduling referrals
  • Verifying Insurance
  • Answering phone and checking messages
  • Faxing
  • Submitting clinic office supply orders
  • Submitting maintenance requests
  • Develops and implements processes to ensure compliance with regulations, timeliness of report generation and functional work-flow that supports clerical operations.
  • Performs accurate, complete and timely data entry.
  • Processes physician phone orders, tracks physicians visits and produces reports that tracks resident's current status.
  • Organizes quality assurance meeting and the family counsel meeting.
  • Educates families and physicians about admission requirements to facility.
