The coordinator position will be responsible for using applicable software programs and workflows to reconcile charges, monitor Medicare caps, apply occurrence codes, open accounts, and send business-related correspondence. They will also receive new patient referrals, schedule patients for therapy over the telephone in a timely manner, and work closely with the authorization team to monitor authorizations. The role involves scheduling therapy patients for appointments, coordinating staff availability, and performing related clerical work such as typing, filing, faxing, scanning, and sorting mail distribution. Additionally, the coordinator will ensure chart audits on discharged patients are up to date, manage and order office and clinical supplies, answer and direct telephone calls, and check in patients for appointments. The position requires the ability to work as a member of a team and independently, understand and follow safe work practices, and ensure all Amberwell procedures are followed.
