About The Position

The Office Coordinator promotes effective communication, supports staff development, assists with workflow coordination, and helps ensure consistent administrative operations across both practice locations. This position leads by example, actively participating in daily patient-facing activities while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered work environment. The Office Coordinator serves as a resource for administrative staff, helping to resolve routine issues, answer questions, reinforce established processes, and communicate staff concerns, opportunities, and operational needs to Practice Management. The position is expected to build positive working relationships with providers, nursing staff, and support staff while contributing to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Medical terminology required
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of scheduling
  • Working knowledge of insurance verification
  • Working knowledge of referrals
  • Working knowledge of front-office workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Secretarial experience preferred
  • Medical background is preferred
  • Leadership experiences preferred
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 2 to 3 years' experience as secretary/clerical medical office experience preferred
  • 2 to 3 years' experience as Office Coordinator or Team Lead preferred
