We are looking for an Office Coordinator in the Dermatology Service at our Hauppauge location. Our team includes experts in multiple dermatological specialties. We provide compassionate, comprehensive care for patients with skin cancer and related services. We also help patients cope with the dermatologic side effects of cancer treatment.

Requirements

  • Experience working directly with customers or patients in healthcare, hospitality, retail, or other service-focused environments
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively and inclusively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Experience working in EPIC is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Answer assigned phone lines promptly and professionally, directing calls appropriately and prioritizing effectively
  • Manage communication channels for the clinical team, ensuring messages are prioritized, routed appropriately, and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate appointments, tests, consultations, treatments, and surgeries based on clinical priority, providing clear instructions to patients
  • Prepare various documents, including memos, correspondence, reports, and presentations, adhering to mandated formats and readability standards
  • Handle authorizations and reimbursements for physician travel and meetings, maintaining licensures and memberships for attending physicians
