Job Summary The Office Cleaning Associate must be able to work independently and maintain an orderly environment within the facility. This role ensures that all assigned areas are cleaned to company standards and supports daily operations by performing routine and deep-cleaning tasks in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.

Requirements

  • WHMIS Training
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required
  • Food Safety & Health & Safety Knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs.).
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communications skills both written and oral.
  • Speak English; Read English; Write English.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
  • Clean and disinfect washrooms, fixtures and touchpoints.
  • Perform ongoing daily cleaning and sanitization of all restroom facilities, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Conduct routine cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces throughout the facility, including door handles, light switches, handrails, countertops, and shared equipment.
  • Monitor cleanliness throughout the day and address spills, messes, or sanitation needs promptly
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions.
  • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs).
  • Report safety hazards, needed repairs, or maintenance issues.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of supplies.
  • Assist with event setup or furniture rearrangement as needed.
  • Other core expectations as defined by the company.
