About The Position

John V. Schultz Furniture is hiring a Full-Time Office Associate in Erie, PA. This is a family-owned company with a history of caring for its employees, customers, and community. Hiring Immediately! The Office Associate will accurately enter sales and order information into the Storis system, verify order accuracy, and identify/correct discrepancies. They will also complete all documentation accurately and efficiently, process information regarding cash balances, deliveries, sales & service orders, and account balances in compliance with corporate guidelines. The role involves providing customer service support by handling a high volume of inbound calls, managing counter inquiries, processing payments, and resolving customer complaints/questions. The associate will answer, investigate, and initiate actions on customer inquiries using all available channels (phone, web, chat, mail, fax, etc.) and consistently meet or exceed performance standards for service quality, accuracy, and volume. Additional duties include completing and processing credit applications, payments, and financing paperwork, verifying order processing paperwork, communicating professionally with internal and external personnel, maintaining accurate files and processes, and performing clerical support for store staff as needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and listening skills.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
  • Basic numerical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to complete paperwork in an accurate, neat and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability to utilize Storis, Ring Central Phone System, Package AI Routing Software and Company Intranet systems preferred.
  • Previous clerical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Accurately enters information regarding sales transactions and order information into Storis system.
  • Verifies all information related to orders is accurate; identifies and corrects discrepancies.
  • Completes all documentation in an accurate and efficient manner and processes information regarding cash balances, deliveries, sales & service orders, account balances in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Provides customer service support by answering a high volume of inbound calls, managing counter inquiries, processing payments, solving customer complaints/questions.
  • Answers, investigates and/or initiates actions on customer inquiries efficiently, using all customer access channels (phone, web, chat, mail, fax, etc.).
  • Consistently meets or exceeds performance standards for service quality, accuracy and volume.
  • Completes and processes credit applications, payments and financing paperwork.
  • Verifies all paperwork for order processing is accurate.
  • Communicates with internal and external personnel in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate files and processes in order to maximize productivity.
