About The Position

IDOC is looking to hire an Office Associate to provide clerical office support to the Health Care Unit Administrator. This individual will keyboard a variety of complex documents, serve as receptionist and retrieve data from Offender 360 (O360). Requirements

  • Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school AND two (2) years of related office experience.
  • Requires the ability to keyboard 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Keyboards a variety of complex charts, reports, meeting minutes, documents, forms, memorandums, and correspondence, that includes legal, medical, and mental health terminology.
  • Provides clerical office support to the Public Service Administrator, Health Care Unit Administrator (HCUA).
  • Serves as a receptionist to the HCU.
  • Retrieves data from Offender 360 (O360).
