About The Position

The Office Assistant will provide administrative support to all OKC Fair Park Food and Beverage departments (concessions, catering) at the venue, as well as to the Office Manager and the Sr. Vice President. This role involves general office, administrative, and accounting support, including data entry for accounts payable and receivable, and event reporting. The assistant will also handle general clerical duties such as preparing weekly paperwork for accounting, copying, filing, correspondence, and responding to telephone inquiries. Additionally, the position may require assisting in other food and beverage departments as needed and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum two years of business or general office experience.
  • Willingness to assist staff where/when needed.
  • Focus on and prioritize the administrative duties that are most critical and time sensitive.
  • Proficiency with computers, including, but not limited to Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Adhere to a high level of attention to detail.
  • Maintain open, direct, positive and objective lines of communication with management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-directed in a team-oriented environment.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial and employee matters.
  • Utilize task prioritization and effective time management skills to meet frequent and competing deadlines in a high-volume, high-stress environment.
  • Perform detailed work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment handling multiple tasks with flexibility in a calm, professional manner.
  • Effectively communicate with others in a clear, business-like, respectful and personable manner focused on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative environment.
  • Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming (i.e., clean, wrinkle free clothing, proper uniform/attire, close attention to personal hygiene).

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Speak, read and write in English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to all OKC Fair Park Food and Beverage departments (concessions, catering) at the venue, as well as to the Office Manager and the Sr. Vice President.
  • Provide general office / administrative / accounting support including A/P and A/R data entry, event reporting.
  • Provide general office and clerical support including preparation of weekly paperwork for accounting, copying, filing, correspondence and telephone inquiries.
  • Assist in other food and beverage departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
