The Administration Department is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Office Assistant. Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years of general office experience including customer service experience
  • Oregon Driver’s License – Class C with an acceptable driving record
  • Certification of 40 words per minute at 95% accuracy keyboarding skills
  • City Application

  • Cover Letter
  • Typing test indicating 40 words per minute at 95% accuracy. A typing test from an on-line source, attached to your application will meet this requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting and assisting customers in person and by telephone
  • Performing a variety of administrative duties, including filing, copying, data entry, and calendar management
  • Posting Accounts Payable transactions
  • Transcribing, preparing, and reviewing meeting minutes
  • Organizing, maintaining, and archiving departmental documents
  • Utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook with a high level of proficiency
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive information
