About The Position

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Linden Hill is looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Medical Office Assistant I with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Primary Care at Linden Hill is in Wilmington, Delaware. Primary Care at Linden Hill provides comprehensive medical services for adults and children, including gynecology, women's health, vaccinations, physical examinations, preventive medicine, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions. The Medical Office Assistant I schedules appointments with attention to insurance, greets patients while collecting necessary information, and processes referrals while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments.
  • Manages communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff.
  • Updates patients, schedules tests and appointments, maintains medical records, resolves patient issues, supports administrative tasks, and follows safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.
