About The Position

This position is responsible for repairing office furniture and equipment such as staplers, file cabinets, and cubicle set-ups. It also includes locksmith services like making keys and repairing locks. Additional duties involve loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, lifting boxes, and transporting mail and other items via carts. The role requires driving a small truck and/or van to local sites for repair work and occasionally making deliveries or pick-ups at the Post Office.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Two (2) years of job-related experience including basic computer operations skills is required.
  • Must be able to process routine reports.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver?s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Examine date machines, time stamps, electric staplers and other office machines used in tax processing to determine cause of malfunction.
  • Make repairs as needed to system furniture and customer property as directed by customer work orders.
  • Determine maintenance needs and replaces wheels of rolling stock.
  • Maintain parts inventory for use in daily repairs. Communicate parts needed to manager for ordering purposes.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Maintain key inventory, key making equipment, and repairs locks as requested by customer work order.
  • Assemble customer equipment as required by work order.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, lifting boxes, moving carts with mail and other items.
  • Driving a small truck and/or van to other local sites to work; and occasionally making deliveries and pick-ups at the Post Office.
  • Questioning nonstandard operations or environmental factors that may involve unmitigated hazards and providing feedback to supervisors and managers on all safety issues.
  • Participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
  • Conforming to the AECOM Quality Policy and carrying out job activities in compliance with applicable AECOM Quality System documents and customer contracts.
  • Reading and understanding Quality Management and Customer Satisfaction responsibilities.
  • Reading, understanding and implementing the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.
