About The Position

The Office of Inspector General is seeking to hire an energetic and detail-oriented office administrator to supervise the clerical sub-units of the Administrative Support Pool. OIG ensures individuals with disabilities and mental illness receive the best programs and services through DHS by investigating all allegations of abuse and neglect to ensure their health and safety.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of study at a secretarial/business college and two (2) years of office experience OR completion of high school and four (4) years of Office Assistant experience OR four (4) years independent business experience.

  • Two (2) years of experience directing and supervising the work of clerical support office staff.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as administrator for the Administrative Support Pool for the Office of Inspector General (OIG).
  • Serves as a working supervisor.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly management reports for OIG.
  • Conducts clerical staff meetings and provides ongoing training of clerical staff regarding agency policy and procedures for the Administrative Clerical Pool Unit.
  • Works on the procurement of agency wide service contracts.
  • Attends supervisory meetings regarding policies and procedures and implementation of new programs, etc.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
