About The Position

The JM Family College Internship Program provides college students with meaningful work experiences related to their programs of study. Interns contribute to their teams, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture, and develop skills through learning opportunities and networking events. The ideal candidate will be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program, May 24, 2027 through July 30, 2027. The internship offers hands-on experience with department projects and initiatives and introduces interns to JM Family’s core values: Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, Innovation, and Accountability.

The Offensive Security Intern supports efforts to proactively identify and reduce cyber risk through attack surface management, vulnerability research, security assessments, and automation. The intern gains hands-on experience supporting Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), external attack surface monitoring, and security validation activities, while contributing to initiatives that strengthen JM Family’s security posture.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, validate, and document externally exposed assets, vulnerabilities, and security findings to support attack surface management and vulnerability analysis.
• Assist with penetration testing, security research, threat modeling, attack simulations, and security testing of applications, cloud environments, and infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members.
• Develop scripts, dashboards, and process improvements to enhance vulnerability management, Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), and executive reporting capabilities.
• Support external attack surface monitoring and security validation activities to improve visibility into potential threats and provide actionable security insights.
• Improve the efficiency of offensive security processes through security automation and enhancements to recurring analysis and reporting.
• Contribute to cybersecurity initiatives that protect customer and business information, reduce enterprise risk, support secure innovation, and promote continuous improvement.
