About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing machinery to keep equipment running. It includes performing preventative maintenance on all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role requires identifying all parts, supplies, and services needed to maintain equipment in the assigned area and completing work orders in a timely manner to reduce downtime and meet production goals. This position requires lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift. The work environment can be cold, hot, wet, dusty, and noisy. The ability to use basic hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, and multi-meters is necessary.

Requirements

3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools to include drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter, and other tools.
Must be able to use basic hand and power tools.
Must be able to perform lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting throughout the shift.
Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 180 calendar days.
No rehire for former Tyson Team Members that were termed for gross misconduct.
Former Tyson Team Members who have worked at Tyson 3 times or more are not eligible for rehire.
