About The Position

Jefferson County Stone, an underground limestone mine/quarry in Louisville, KY, is seeking candidates to fill the role of an off-road Haul Truck Driver. They also provide safety equipment, paid holidays, and paid vacations. The successful candidate will have experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and a strong focus on safety. Some positions may require no experience, and Rogers Group will provide training. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience and skill set. Candidates with heavy equipment operating experience or mining experience are preferred.

Requirements

  • Dedication to safe work practices.
  • Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must be able to walk, sit, climb, bend, and stoop, for extended periods of time throughout the workday, as required to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
  • Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by management

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
  • Candidate with heavy equipment operating experience or mining experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate haul trucks to move shot rock from the mine faces to the crusher and begin the crushing process.
  • Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
  • Effective communication skills applicable to position.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
  • Willingness to be cross trained on other heavy equipment.
