About The Position
Four-Legged Fun Zone is looking for experienced Off-Leash Dog Group Handlers who have a strong foundation in supervising groups of dogs professionally. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading canine body language, managing group dynamics, and making real-time safety decisions. Upon hiring, you will learn the Four-Legged Fun Zone system and progress to independently leading your own groups of 10-15 dogs. This role offers a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or on-call shifts, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.
Requirements
- Professionally supervised or co-supervised at least 40 off-leash groups of 8 or more dogs within the past three months, where each group lasted at least 60 continuous minutes and supervising the dogs was one of your primary responsibilities.
- Held at least one paid animal-care position for 12 consecutive months or longer within the past three years.
- Live within 30 minutes of our Everett facility.
- Able to stand and walk throughout the shift while confidently handling dogs weighing up to 150 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead structured groups of 10-15 dogs.
- Actively monitor canine body language.
- Manage group interactions.
- Redirect inappropriate behavior.
