About The Position

The OFE Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery and installation of owner-furnished equipment within a data center construction project. This role requires a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, supply chain management, and construction processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years experience in managing OFE and LLE within a data center construction environment or similar mission critical environment.
  • Strong understanding of data center/mission critical infrastructure and critical systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using project management and tracking tools.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for all owner-furnished equipment (OFE) and long-lead equipment (LLE), including monitoring delivery schedules, managing submittals, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as the Lead Project Manager, Regional Supply Chain Management (RSCM) team, and General Contractor (GC) to align equipment deliveries with the construction schedule.
  • Review and analyze project documentation, including purchase orders (POs), statements of work (SOWs), and contracts, to identify potential issues and scope gaps.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate site conditions and communicate site requirements to suppliers and vendors.
  • Support the development of pre-purchase specifications for LLE.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of equipment.
  • Oversee the delivery and installation of OFE and LLE, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Track and resolve issues related to OFE and LLE, such as quality concerns, logistics challenges, and potential delays.
  • Coordinate and attend Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and Factory QA/QC visits.
  • Maintain accurate records of all OFE and LLE related documentation.
  • Verify correct installation of all OFE and LLE through thorough inspections.
  • Coordinate the handover of OFE and LLE to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Gather and submit all required closeout documentation, including warranties, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Assist in completing project closeout activities related to OFE and LLE.
  • Provide regular updates to the Lead Project Manager and other stakeholders on the status of OFE and LLE.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of OFE and LLE management processes by identifying opportunities for streamlining and developing standardized tools and templates.
