About The Position

Our firm is seeking a licensed Maryland attorney to serve in an Of Counsel capacity. This is a part-time, low-volume engagement designed for an experienced practitioner who is looking to supplement an existing practice with a flexible, straightforward affiliation. The role involves minimal day-to-day involvement and is structured to require only light, as-needed participation. Most matters will be handled by our core legal team; the Of Counsel attorney will primarily serve as our Maryland-licensed counsel of record and advisor on Maryland-specific issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in the State of Maryland, in good standing with the State Bar of Maryland.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Current malpractice insurance coverage (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication skills and reliable responsiveness.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative arrangement.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 3–5 years of legal practice experience (preferred but flexible).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's Maryland-licensed attorney of record on select matters involving Maryland law or Maryland-based clients.
• Provide occasional consultation on Maryland state law, local rules, and procedural questions as they arise.
• Review filings, correspondence, or documents that require signature or oversight by Maryland-licensed counsel.
• Maintain good standing with the State Bar of Maryland throughout the engagement.
• Communicate promptly with the firm on any time-sensitive Maryland-related matters.
