The Associate Director provides leadership and direction for the Office for Culture and Student Development (OCSD) through supervision of staff and programs, budget management, and strategic planning. The position leads efforts to foster student belonging, engagement, retention, and success by cultivating campus and community partnerships, enhancing awareness of OCSD resources and initiatives, and supporting transformative learning experiences for students. The Office for Culture and Student Development (OCSD), a unit of the Office of the Dean of Students, promotes student success by cultivating inclusive, welcoming, and academically integrated experiences. Through our four resource centers—the Multicultural Resource Center, Native American Center, Queer Resource Center, and Non-Traditional Student Center—and events, OCSD supports students’ transition to UWSP, sense of belonging, and persistence. By honoring everyone’s identities, fostering connections, and empowering personal and academic growth, we provide affirming support for all UWSP students. The Office of the Dean of Students strives to maximize each student's learning experience by creating a culture of care, fostering personal responsibility, and encouraging involvement as members of the campus and broader communities. At the core of this work is a clear guiding philosophy and message to all students at UW-Stevens Point: You Matter, Point Cares.
