About The Position

The OCM Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of the production area, including machine setup and changeovers, inventory management, and maintenance. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Uphold all OSHA standards and maintain knowledge applicable to the responsibilities above.

  • Report safety hazards and incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Report and correct near miss incidents or any other safety related events.
  • Provide self-assessment of performance for reviews with manager.

Responsibilities

  • Change Slitter over to meet production needs.
  • Replace blades when broken or dull to ensure machine efficiency.
  • Changeover and reset the Quad machine for different production jobs.
  • Perform basic maintenance on the Quad machine, ensuring it is in working condition.
  • Track and manage inventory of materials to ensure adequate stock for production.
  • Issue materials as needed to support production runs.
  • Gather and prepare material for each job on the belt.
  • Receive OCM from roll truck deliveries and ensure proper handling.
  • Enter run and labor hours accurately to track production progress.
  • Print and distribute the daily production schedule each morning.
  • Create and manage the hour-by-hour board to track progress and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Change bags inside and outside of OCM equipment to ensure proper material handling.
  • Sleeve and bale materials as required for storage or shipment.
  • Perform routine cleaning and vacuuming of the work area to maintain a safe and clean environment.
  • Regularly clean and maintain equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  • Print out the Shop Order and labels for proper identification and tracking of materials and products.
