About The Position

This role focuses on OCI & AWS Multi-Cloud Architecture. The OCI Administrator will manage, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with a strong emphasis on OCI-to-AWS multi-cloud architecture. The position involves architecting and maintaining high-performance multi-cloud network connectivity using OCI Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) and Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRGs), ensuring high availability, security, performance, and cost optimization across both OCI and AWS environments.

Requirements

Manage, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Heavy focus on OCI-to-AWS multi-cloud architecture
Architect and maintain high-performance multi-cloud network connectivity
Leverage OCI Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) and Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRGs)
Ensure high availability, security, performance, and cost optimization across OCI and AWS environments
Administer OCI core infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Autonomous/Exadata DBs)
Administer interconnected AWS resources (VPCs, EC2, S3)
Design and manage OCI Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, route tables, Security Lists, and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
Configure and maintain OCI Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRGs)
Manage multi-cloud traffic routing between OCI VCNs and AWS VPCs
Establish and maintain low-latency, cross-cloud connectivity between OCI and AWS using OCI FastConnect and AWS Direct Connect (or IPsec VPN tunnels) via DRGs
Implement DRG Transit Routing strategies
Manage VCN peering (Local/Remote) and DRG attachments across multiple OCI tenancies and AWS regions
Optimize multi-cloud network routing using BGP, custom DRG route tables, route distributions, and Equal-Cost Multi-Path (ECMP) routing
Provide tier-2/3 technical support
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across OCI and AWS multi-cloud setups
Troubleshoot DRG routing anomalies, BGP session drops, FastConnect/Direct Connect performance degradation, and cross-cloud latency issues
Lead technical root-cause analysis (RCA)
Coordinate directly with Oracle and AWS vendor support teams
Monitor multi-cloud system metrics, bandwidth utilization, and log traces
Provision and manage multi-cloud infrastructure using HashiCorp (HCP) Terraform Cloud and Ansible
Monitor, detect, and automatically remediate cloud security risks using Oracle Cloud Guard in OCI
Implement Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and secure privileged access management across OCI and AWS using Teleport
Enforce secure network perimeters, egress filtering, and web security using Zscaler
Manage identity, access controls, IAM policies, and cross-cloud trust mechanisms across OCI PaaS/SaaS and AWS IAM
Work alongside Cloud Engineers, DevOps, and business teams
Align OCI-AWS multi-cloud architecture with operational goals
Recommend and implement continuous cost-optimization strategies
Maintain complete operational documentation, including OCI-AWS network topology diagrams, DRG routing tables, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures

Responsibilities

Administer OCI core infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Autonomous/Exadata DBs) alongside interconnected AWS resources (VPCs, EC2, S3).
Design and manage OCI Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, route tables, Security Lists, and Network Security Groups (NSGs).
Configure and maintain OCI Dynamic Routing Gateways (DRGs) to manage all multi-cloud traffic routing between OCI VCNs and AWS VPCs.
Establish and maintain low-latency, cross-cloud connectivity between OCI and AWS using OCI FastConnect and AWS Direct Connect (or IPsec VPN tunnels) via DRGs for split-stack applications.
Implement DRG Transit Routing strategies, acting as a central routing hub for multi-VCN OCI setups connected to AWS environments.
Manage VCN peering (Local/Remote) and DRG attachments across multiple OCI tenancies and AWS regions.
Optimize multi-cloud network routing using BGP, custom DRG route tables, route distributions, and Equal-Cost Multi-Path (ECMP) routing for active-active redundancy.
Provide tier-2/3 technical support, diagnosing and resolving complex issues across OCI and AWS multi-cloud setups.
Troubleshoot DRG routing anomalies, BGP session drops, FastConnect/Direct Connect performance degradation, and cross-cloud latency issues.
Lead technical root-cause analysis (RCA) and coordinate directly with Oracle and AWS vendor support teams for critical outages.
Monitor multi-cloud system metrics, bandwidth utilization, and log traces to maintain maximum uptime and performance.
Provision and manage multi-cloud infrastructure (OCI VCNs, DRGs, AWS VPCs) using HashiCorp (HCP) Terraform Cloud and Ansible.
Monitor, detect, and automatically remediate cloud security risks using Oracle Cloud Guard in OCI.
Implement Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and secure privileged access management across OCI and AWS using Teleport.
Enforce secure network perimeters, egress filtering, and web security using Zscaler.
Manage identity, access controls, IAM policies, and cross-cloud trust mechanisms across OCI PaaS/SaaS and AWS IAM.
Work alongside Cloud Engineers, DevOps, and business teams to align OCI-AWS multi-cloud architecture with operational goals.
Recommend and implement continuous cost-optimization strategies (e.g., managing OCI-to-AWS egress traffic fees, right-sizing compute/storage).
Maintain complete operational documentation, including OCI-AWS network topology diagrams, DRG routing tables, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.
