OCEAN OPERATION SPECIALIST
About The Position
Dimerco Express Group integrates air and ocean freight, trade compliance, and contract logistics services to make global supply chains more effective and efficient. The majority of Dimerco’s global logistics projects connect Asia’s logistics and manufacturing hubs with each other, as well as with North America and Europe. Dimerco started as an air freight forwarder in Taiwan in 1971 and now serves customers through 150+ Dimerco offices, 80 contract logistics operations, and over 200 strategic partner agents throughout China, India, Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe. This role is responsible for Ocean Import operations including data entry, customer service, rating, routing, and customs documentation preparation. The specialist will arrange and follow up with shipment coordination and daily communication with customers and overseas offices, track orders processed, issue invoices for services rendered, and monitor shipments to ensure timely deliveries. Maintaining compliance with all transportation and security regulations, including customer policies and external government regulations, is also a key responsibility. The role requires effective communication with internal departments, regional branches, offices, and external contacts. Other assignments may be directed by management.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in Freight Forwarding/Logistics experience in Ocean operations
- Detail oriented, Self-motivated, Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Must know how to use and organize Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Exceptional listening, verbal and written skills
- Exceptional Customer Service skills (verbal and written)
- Good organizational skills and ability to learn and retain information to build core industry related skills.
Responsibilities
