About The Position

Instructors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to deliver education services to students. This includes preparing course plans and materials, delivering courses, monitoring student progress and attendance, advising students, and recording grades and submitting reports.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed or otherwise regulated in the state or jurisdiction as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant in the United States jurisdiction (if an occupational therapy practitioner teaching occupational therapy content).
  • License in the state where the program is located if required by the state's jurisdiction or otherwise regulated in the jurisdiction as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant.
  • Licensed or otherwise regulated as required by their profession (if not an occupational therapy practitioner teaching in the program).
  • A minimum of a master's degree from an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized institutional accrediting agency.
  • Degrees are not limited to occupational therapy.

Nice To Haves

  • The majority of full-time faculty who are occupational therapy practitioners teaching in the program must hold a doctoral degree.
