Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards.
  • Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Implement occupational therapy programs and activities.
  • Follow developed recovery plans.
  • Deliver therapy treatments.
  • Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance the physical abilities and independence of patients.
  • Adapt to the needs of the patient.
  • Collaborate with peers.
  • Make referrals to help patients get the care they need to thrive.
  • Ensure patients and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
