About The Position
Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their Outpatient rehab team at John Knox Village in Pompano Beach, Florida. This role focuses on treating active seniors in a true outpatient setting, specializing in orthopedics, balance, mobility, strength, and fall prevention. The position emphasizes building long-term therapeutic relationships and practicing patient-centered, wellness-based care without high-pressure productivity standards. This is an ideal opportunity for therapists who enjoy outpatient care with a motivated geriatric population invested in their health. The role is dedicated to outpatient services, distinct from inpatient or SNF responsibilities within the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).
Requirements
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain prior to start
- Interest in outpatient physical therapy and geriatric-focused care
- Passion for helping older adults live active, independent lifestyles
