This role involves implementing established treatment plans using appropriate modalities, documenting patient progress, and seeking consultation as needed. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will monitor patient responses to treatment, communicate progress and potential goal revisions to the occupational therapist, and educate patients and their families/caregivers about patient deficits. Additionally, this position provides discharge planning assistance and information on adaptive equipment and community support programs. The role may also involve overseeing the care provided by therapy technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.
