Requirements

Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or equivalent credential
Prior experience working with pediatric populations preferred
Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse home environments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care

Prior experience working with pediatric populations preferred

Responsibilities

Assist licensed occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients in their homes
Conduct therapeutic activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting findings to supervising therapists
Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies to support ongoing development
Ensure a safe and clean environment during therapy sessions
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulations
